Peruvian Naturals supports four farmers in Cajamarca and San Martin

Peruvian Naturals has donated our earnings pledge for the third quarter of 2020 to four different farmers of cacao and other crops in the Cajamarca and San Martin departments of Peru.

Elder

Elder, 29, has lived with his wife and two young children in native community of Mushu Puru Puru, Pinto Recodo, Lamas for the past 10 years. He works growing cacao and raising small animals, which allows him to provide for his family. He will use this loan to purchase fertilizers for his cacao crops, plant more cacao, and make repairs on his home.

This loan helps purchase fertilizers, plant more cacao and repair his house, and is special because it supports lucrative and sustainable livelihoods for organic farmers.

Pascual

According to his Kiva profile:

Pascual, age 47, has lived with his wife for almost 16 years in Pachiza, Mariscal Cáceres, San Martín. They have two minor children.

He grows cacao and raises cattle. With this income, he has managed to build a house of brick and to provide education for his children.

He will use the loan to buy fertilizers for cacao cultivation, and part of the funds to fix the fences where he keeps his cattle.

Manuel Purificación

He has worked growing these crops for 25 years, and his goal is to expand his farmland to produce and sell more and increase his income.
