Peruvian Naturals supports organic coffee farmer Jose Oscar

At Peruvian Naturals we are excited to announce that this month’s earnings pledge to support agriculture in Peru went to an organic farmer in Cajamarca, Jose Oscar. According to his Kiva profile:

José Oscar’s story

José, 35, lives with his wife and children in the village of La Corona, in Jaén – Peru. There he has agricultural land, where he grows coffee and pasture in small scale.

José sells his coffee via fair trade in the Cenfrocafe cooperative.

He dreams of providing a higher education for his children as he did not have this opportunity.

He will achieve this by generating more income, but in order to do this, he needs to fertilize and remove the weed from his coffee crops in time, which is why he needs the loan.

During his six years on Norandino he has demonstrated responsibility and gain trust. He knows that by being responsible he can access better opportunities to improve his quality of life.

This loan is special because it supports lucrative and sustainable livelihoods for organic farmers.

And it’s not from Jose Oscar, but check out Peruvian Naturals Maca Nitro, a blend of organic green coffee and Maca for a natural energy pill.
